Who's In Charge?

"We need to create jobs. The best way to do that is through infrastructure development." - Richard Trumka, President AFL-CIO Union. Trumka presented President Obama with a plan to spend $256 Billion in infrastructure spending, to be paid by higher gas taxes on US consumers.

"Investments in education, innovation, and infrastructure are an essential down payment on our future..." - President Obama continuing his pursuit of domestic stimulus spending in his weekly address immediately following Trumka's comments.

Quite a Coincidence. Kind of makes you wonder who's in charge...

President continues to vote 'present' on foreign policy, but still aggressively pursue his progressive social and spending policies (In a report released February 23, 2011 the Congressional Budget Office put the cost of each stimulus job "created or saved" at $228, 055 EACH). Maybe next time Democrats should just elected their Union bosses into office and save some time.
