President Obama Moves to Ban Golden Eagles

This video was posted on YouTube and is currently going viral. Some debate whether this video is legit, but I understand that Robert Reich is demanding the government act to protect 'people of small stature', and President Obama is convening a panel led by Joe Biden to review the issue and make a recommendation on how to best move forward with a ban on Golden Eagles.

Transparency, Obama Style

For a President who was about Hope and Change, and promised the most transparent administration ever, there are a lot of questions surrounding his Department of Justice and Obama's top cop Eric Holder.

Blind Media Pig Finds Acorn of Truth

Are there people in the media that will finall step up and say what many Americans believe?

Surely that can't be true!  For the past week our govenment has been saying that the violence and protests taking place against America is just the result of some silly movie trailer that got posted on YouTube back in July.  Right?   Islam is the Religion of Peace!  Right?

"The idea that this criminal and cowardly act was a spontaneous protest that just spun out of control is completely unfounded and preposterous" - Libyan President Mohammed el-Megarif

"An intelligence source on the ground in Libya told Fox News that there was no demonstration outside the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi prior to last week's attack -- challenging the Obama administration's claims that the assault grew out of a "spontaneous" protest against an anti-Islam film.

"There was no protest and the attacks were not spontaneous," the source said, adding the attack "was planned and had nothing to do with the movie."

The source said the assault came with no warning at about 9:35 p.m. local time, and included fire from more than two locations. The assault included RPG's and mortar fire, the source said, and consisted of two waves."  -  Jump to the complete story with video at FOX News  HERE

Right.

The Price of Politics

President Obama continues to play politics with the future of our country.  Both his domestic and foreign policies have proven to be lacking of substance.  While his campaign points a finger at Romeny for failing to provide substance, the press continues to ignore the President's own lack of a plan to address any serious issues.   And now with crisis on both fronts, he denies the facts (the attack on our station in Libya was a spontaneous protest about a movie), and refuses to provide any policy specifics that will address the issues.  Bob Woodward provides insight to the President's intentional decision to NOT release or provide any plan.

Glen Doherty, The Best of America

"He went back to the Middle East because he cared deeply about the Muslim people, and because he cared about bringing freedom and democracy and human rights to the Middle East. (He) was a kind and caring person, and I'm sure that he gave every last bit of his courage and strength to defend the consulate and Ambassador Stevens.

Beyonce and Jay-Z Host Vegas Fundraiser for President Obama

Libya September 11, 2012

U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was reported as still alive while drug through the streets. It has also been reported that President Obama went to bed after being briefed that Ambassador Stevens was missing.  I have asked White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and Traveling Press Secretary for the Obama Campaign Jen Psaki for comment on that report.  No response yet.

Here's the Bottom Line:

The words of President Obama speaking at a campaign stump in Virgina last week.   The belief system behind these words are the core issue of why I believe the United States can not afford 4 more years of President Obama's policies.  America was built by individuals who believed that they could achieve something special.  They dreamed it, and they worked hard to achieve it.  America provides opportunity to the individual to achieve greatness, not the collective.  Those individuals may decide to take a group with them on their journey to American Exceptionalism.  But it is the option of the individual, not the government, to share the rewards of their achievements.

Of course Rush Limbaugh has some thoughts on this:

No Words Necessary

"Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys"
             - P.J. O'Rourke

The Congressional Budget Office predicts the deficit for the full year, which ends on Sept. 30, will total $1.17 trillion. That would be a slight improvement from the $1.3 trillion deficit recorded in 2011, but still greater than any deficit before Obama took office.

My Rights, Your Rights, Gay Rights

As a continuation of a previous post, the right of gay couples to form a lifelong commitment continues to create dilemmas for society.

Consider the case of  case of Vanessa Willock v. Elane Photography.

Willock, in the midst of planning her wedding to her girlfriend, sent the photography company an e-mail request to shoot the commitment ceremony. Elaine Huguenin, who owns the company with her husband, replied: "We do not photograph same-sex weddings. But thanks for checking out our site! Have a great day!"

Willock filed a complaint, and at the hearing she explained how she felt.

"A variety of emotions," she said, holding back tears. "There was a shock and anger and fear. ... We were planning a very happy day for us, and we're being met with hatred. That's how it felt."

So in this age of political correctness, "Have a great day!" is seen as "hatred" toward gays.  This isn't a situation where the photographer showed up the day of the wedding and refused to perform their contracted duties.  This was in response to an e-mail enquiry months prior to the wedding.

The photographers lost the case and have been order to pay $6,600 to the happy couple.   And it's happening more and more.  In Washington, the 7th state to permit same sex marriage, individuals have filed 48 complaints with Washington's Human Rights Commission alleging discrimination in public accommodations.

I'm fine with the concept of two people whose love for each other lead them to want to form a lifetime union.  But before you hit me over the head with laws granting everyone the right to marry, let's talk about how we are going to protect everyone's rights.  Including the right of a church, florist, photographer, whoever,  to not participate in the wedding.

After all, isn't the core issue here equal rights for EVERYONE?

I love Michelle Malkin.  Smart and beautiful.   If it wasn't for the restraining order she has against me, I could really go for her (note to wife, just kidding sweatheart!).

Islam in America

Whether or not you think about the growing presence of Islam in the United State, they are thinking about you.  And just because I'm a paranoid cynic doesn't mean my fear isn't based upon some hard facts.

Just a reminder, there are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman. These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.   Food for thought.

Watch both for full effect.

LIttle Hope for Real Change

What do these women have in common?

They are both famous for throwing softballs.

Roberts is a well known commodity to Team Obama.  She conducted the first official interview with Michelle Obama after she became First Lady, and has scored interviews with the President and First Lady since.  As Politico noted at the time, "...while respected inside ABC and throughout the industry as a skilled and experienced interviewer, Roberts was also viewed as a safe pick for the Obama administration, in part because she comes from the world of morning network television and rarely flexes any political muscle or attack-dog approach to journalism."

How sure was Team Obama that Roberts would not challenge the President with any serious followup questions?

Pretty sure.

So after years of ridiculous "evolving" on the issue (can you say"Present"?), the President came out of the closet on gay marriage.  And ensured that he would not receive any serious questions.  Like, 'Are you going to put in place any actual policy changes to reflect your new belief?'.

And now the media world is in complete shock and disbelief that a reporter shouted a question at the President during a Presidential press conference.  This was such a breech of press protocol that AFI headlines referred to Daly Caller reporter Neil Munro as a "heckler" that needed to be "slapped down" by the President.     It has been noted that President Obama was not done with his prepared comments, and reporter Munro has stated that he thought the President was.   After all was said and done, the President didn't take any questions.  Very few in the news media made note of that, although many "just a blogger" web sites were quick to point that out.

It seems the only information coming out of the White House are the security leaks.  Which have been suspected of being released intentionally to prop up the President's image as polls show he continues to lose ground to Mitt Romney.

The White House denies any involvement in the leaks.   However after meeting with Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI) said, "We know, in some cases, someone from a segment of the media was present in a classified setting...suggesting that the agencies were directed to expand the scope of classified information they gave to the press".

This administration has blocked and stonewalled efforts to learn additional details that might shed light on it's decisions and motives.  Health care.  Solyndra.  White House vistor's log.  Solyndra.  BP oil spill and moratorium on drilling.

And of course we have Operation Fast and Furious.  Going back to October 2011:

The stonewalling of the House Oversight Committee investigation into Operation Fast and Furious has officially moved from the Obama Justice Department to the Obama White House. Chairman Darrell Issa requested an interview with White House national security director of North American Kevin O'Reilly last fall. The reason for the request? During a July 26, 2011 committee hearing, former Special Agent in Charge of the ATF Phoenix Field Division Bill Newell admitted to being in contact with O'Reilly in the White House about Fast and Furious. Emails also show the two were in contact. Newell wrote to O'Reilly on multiple occasions. One email said, "You didn't get this from me." Newell also sent O'Reilly a map showing where guns from gunrunner impact team operations were ending up at violent crime scenes in Mexico. O'Reilly shared information about the program with other White House staffers, national security official Greg Gatjanis and President Obama's senior Latin American Advisor Dan Restrepo. O'Reilly was conveniently shipped to Iraq after the revelation the White House had in fact been in contact about Fast and Furious, despite denying any knowledge of the program.

And the stonewalling continues:

The Obama administration, through Attorney General Eric Holder, continues to ignore a congressional subpoena seeking access to documents and witnesses.

The administration of President Barack Obama is the most morally corrupt and and narcissistic since Richard Nixon.

And Now A Message From America's Top Secret Agents

Lies, Damn Lies, and Liberals

I once again find myself in the position of black sheep of the family.   One of my sisters and her family have 'unfriended' me on Facebook.   My recurring fault is that I have little tolerance for mass negative generalizations.  Especially those often thrown out by liberals and their favorite news sources.

It seems that my sister believes that Republicans are blocking gay marriage.  To put it in her terms, Republicans are attempting to control who someone may fall in love with.  Us Republicans are like that.  Always tying to put our noses in everyone's personal business. Remember the Republican motto:  Less government in business, more government in the bedroom.   Everyone knows that ALL Republicans are against gay marriage!

Now for the record, I'm OK with same sex marriages but let's let's cut the B.S. and evaluate some facts.

In New Hampshire, after a increase in Republicans in the state house and senate, Republicans moved to repeal that state's same sex marriage rights.  So yes, Republicans in New Hampshire are making lot of noise with attempts to prohibit same sex marriages.  However let's dig a little deeper.  A year ago when the debate started, a University of New Hampshire poll released revealed that just 29 percent of Granite State voters support the repeal of same-sex marriage while 62 percent oppose repeal.   An October poll by the same University of New Hampshire found that state voters overall opposed the repeal bill two-to-one.  During the most recent New Hampshire primary of likely GOP voters, 47% opposed repeal versus 39% in favor. Let's repeat that fact:  47% of Republican voting in the recent New Hampshire Republican primary oppose the repeal of same sex marriage rights.  Pushing hard on that repeal may do serious damage to any Republican that wants to serve another term.  But the main point here is that even in a state where a group of Republican are working to repeal,  47% of the voting Republicans in that same state oppose the repeal and are OK with same sex marriage.

Now let's look at what happened in California.   Proposition 8 allowing same sex marriages was voted down by 52% of the population of that very blue state.   Doing the math on that, 47% of voting Republicans in New Hampshire are OK with same sex marriage, while in California 48% of EVERYONE who voted (Democrats, Republicans, and Independents) share the same belief.

In July 2011, ABC News conducted a survey of random Americans across the USA.  The question:  "Do you think it should be legal or illegal for gay and lesbian couples to get married?"

  • 51% answered legal
  • 45% answered illegal
  • 4% are unsure.
Which is very surprising because that's more support for same sex marriage then the general voting public of very Blue California.  But the bottom line is that the views of voting Republicans in New Hampshire are not very different (47% Vs 51%) from the general population of the USA (Democrats, Republicans, and Independents), and almost identical to the general ballot vote in California (48%).   But according to liberals (like my sister) and the media they get their "news" from, the evil Republicans are out of step with America and are out to control who people may fall in love with.

Of course California was an abnormality, some type of weird planetary shift occurred for 52% of ALL voters, the same state where Obama received 62% of the popular vote, to vote AGAINST same sex marriage.  Right?  I mean, everyone knows that ALL Democrats fully support marriage rights for gays, right?

"The president does oppose same-sex marriage, but he supports equality for gay and lesbian couples, and benefits and other issues, and that has been effectuated in federal agencies under his control." -- David Axelrod

President Barack Hussein Obama went on record for being against same sex marriage. PERIOD.

So maybe not 100% of Democrats.

While state level politicians have been busy debating and putting various bill out, Democrats in Washington D.C. have done little more then provide verbal support, in convenient, media ready sound bites.  Could there be a reason for this?  Perhaps Democrat members of Congress don't actually want to put a vote on record?  For them it's a lose/lose.  Even when they controlled the White House, and both houses congress they knew they didn't have the votes. Democrat members of Congress know a vote 'for' could cost them elections back home, and a vote 'against' could cost them the White House.  The media would have to cover the story.  And if the public found out the truth, Democrats would have to find another issue to demonize the Republicans on.  Political hypocrisy at it's finest.

Of course for every action, there is a reaction.  In those state that now permit same sex marriage, there have also be some reactions:

In New Jersey, the Methodist Church was sued in an attempt to force the church to perform same sex weddings.

In Iowa, a bakery was sued for refusing to sell a wedding cake to a lesbian couple.   Victoria Childress, the business owner said , “I didn’t do the cake because of my convictions for their lifestyle. It is my right as a business owner,” she explained. “It is my right, and it’s not to discriminate against them. It’s not so much to do with them, as it’s to do with me, and my walk with God and what I will answer (to) him for,”

And in Illinois, Catholic Charities were looking at a forced shut down of their adoption and foster care services until a judge intervened in order to keep 350 kids from being displaced.  Seems the Catholic Church has some silly discrimination policy about gays.   And if faith based charities aren't going to place orphans with gays and lesbians, it's just better we shut them down and leave those orphans where they are.

So the public votes to provide people equal rights, and they celebrate by suing to force people to set aside their personal views and religious beliefs to accommodate them in the joy of their newly found rights. After all, what fun is it getting married to your soul mate if you can't sue to do it in a church that doesn't want you there.

And I could say that once gays and lesbians receive the right to marry, they will ALL storm churches, businesses, and faith based charities, suing and demanding everyone not just accept their new legal marriage, but actually participate in it.  But of course that would be a mass negative generalization, and that would be wrong.
