SEIU Spends $200K in 1 Week on Behalf of Democrats

Hey, do you suppose that the SEIU collects union fees and contributions from members in FOREIGN COUNTRIES?

Over the last week, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) spent at least $200,000 on billboard signs, direct mail and radio ads, according to Federal Election Commission (FEC) records. Those funds were for attacks against Republican opponents of several vulnerable House Democrats as well as against Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), who is running for retiring Sen. Kit Bond's (R-Mo.) seat.

That is about a fifth of SEIU’s spending on campaign ads so far for the general election — now totaling at least $1.3 million since mid-September — according to FEC records filed by October 14.

Not sure whether Dean just sidesteps the MoveOn.org statement, or just lies about it. What she failed to mention was the un-sourced $400 million that poured into the Obama campaign during his presidential campaign.

Anthem Connecticut Approved for 47% Health Insurance Rate Hike.

The state's largest insurer has been approved to raise health premium rates by 41 percent to 47 percent for some of its policies sold to individual buyers, in the largest price hikes yet seen in Connecticut since the adoption of national health care reform.

For all of its individual market plans, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has received approval to raise rates by at least 19 percent -- including a range of 30 percent to 44 percent for the brand of plans in the individual market that was most popular in 2009, Century Preferred.

The reason for the increases is the new federal health reform mandates, according to Anthem and the state Department of Insurance, which is defending its approval against charges by Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. Those reforms took effect Sept. 23.

48 Americans have been killed in Mexico so far this year. The body of David Hartley, killed while jet skiing on Falcon Reservoir with his wife has as yet to be recovered. Mexican authorities have chosen to cast doubt on his wife rather then help recover his body.

Now as you consider this, keep in mind that Mexico is joining Argentina, Bolivia Brazil, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, and Chile in submitting a friend-of-the-court brief in Obama's Justice Department challenge to Arizona's new SB 1070 immigration law.

It turns out that the Mexican government is very concerned with illegal immigration. The are in the process of constructing a fence along it's border. It's Southern Border. While not being reported in American media, the irony was picked up by the Canadian press.
